Positive Alternatives offers one-on-one parenting classes and practical support, so everyday parenting feels more doable.

Here is what support can look like:

One-on-one parenting classes in person, 20 to 60 minutes, available weekly.
Online video lessons, chosen with an advocate, from pregnancy through raising kids.
Earn points for baby items and maternity clothes, with material support through age 3.
Community connections for baby supplies, housing referrals, transportation help, and medical referrals.
Fatherhood classes are also available for anyone who wants them.

Parenting Classes

Learn parenting skills in one-on-one, in-person visits using a proven curriculum. Sessions can be weekly and usually last 20 to 60 minutes.

Earn points toward baby items and maternity clothes as classes are completed. Material support is typically available through age 3.

A trained advocate meets at your pace. Childcare is not provided, but bringing kids is welcome if needed. Fatherhood lessons are also available.

Baby Items

Every parent deserves a little extra help. Parenting class participants can earn points for baby items and maternity clothes at no cost to you. Points can be used for basics like diapers, wipes, and clothing. Material support is typically available through age 3.

Positive Alternatives connects clients with practical community support like baby supplies, housing referrals, transportation help (bus fare or tokens), and medical referrals when needed. Adoption referrals to an agency or attorney are available, and ongoing support at the center can continue if that feels helpful.

Resources

Positive Alternatives offers tangible support through a points system tied to parenting classes, so clients can earn baby items and maternity clothes at no cost. Material support is typically available from pregnancy through the child’s third birthday. Transportation help may also be available (bus fare or tokens).
